Brian Heymans
He has extensive experience as an organizational change and lean enterprise development consultant. Brian was formally the President of the Kaizen Institute of America, currently President of Continuous Systems Improvement, and a long time associate of LeanDNA. His industry consulting experience includes automotive, fast moving consumer goods, industrial goods distribution, equipment manufacturing (slow cycle time manufacturing), food, and high volume component manufacturing. He has extensive experience building the interface between physical operations decisions and the IT systems that provide the data for those decisions. His 11 year association with LeanDNA has enabled him to help companies improve the use of decision support systems for making operational decisions. The use of the LeanDNA sofware has substantially improved operating results and production, purchasing and logistics performance.
He has worked in North America, China, Vietnam, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Egypt, Australia, and South Africa.
His primary focus is helping companies build the change process, or lean initiative building process with specific expertise in complex flow and just in time methodologies and supply chain systems. He is an expert in TWI and training strategies. Brian is a strategic thinker, and can integrate complex problems with strategic and operational solutions. He can unravel complex problems. His lean consulting experience includes both manufacturing and non manufacturing environments. His consulting approach is facilitative and he uses coaching as the primary means of cultivating change. Brian has a bachelor's degree in finance and business law, and a masters degree in strategy and adult learning.
